Job Description

The Preserve Sporting Club & Residences is a World-Class, year-round, multi-faceted resort located in beautiful Richmond, RI. We are seeking an experienced Director of Leisure Sales and Strategic Alliances with a proven track record of success to be part of our Team.

The successful candidate would have overall responsibility for sales activities in the and managing and servicing relationships with Travel Professionals. In addition, they will be responsible for growing and managing relationships with our current strategic business partners and developing new strategic relationships for the benefit of our resort.

Specific responsibilities would include:

· Develop and maintain relationships through direct sales, tradeshows, networking groups, etc. to increase brand awareness and drive business.

· Development of a sales plan and execution of same.

· Meet or surpass sales goals through aggressive sales efforts.

· Coordinate ongoing research to detect market trends and develop new market strategies.

· Serve as the primary contact for travel-related companies.

· Ensure accuracy of bookings, meet and greet guests as appropriate.

· Attend various events as needed.

· Coordinate social & group enquiries, negotiate contracts and oversee booking list.

Minimum Qualifications:

· High school diploma required; college degree preferred.

· Strong sales oriented background, minimum of 3-5 years proven sales experience in the hospitality industry, preferrable in the high-end luxury market.

· Knowledge of travel industry, current market trends and economic factors.

· Skilled in the development and delivery of sales presentations.

· Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.

· Ability to prepare detailed sales plans.

· Domestic travel is required.

Compensation: Salary and commission based with benefits package.
